PM Kisan state transfer
In short
- This form is for farmers marked Ineligible because they “don't belong to our State/District”.
- Address here means where your farmland is, not where you live.
- You have to upload a land document in your own name.
- It won't help if you were marked ineligible for another reason, such as income tax.
What state transfer really is
Under Farmers Corner on pmkisan.gov.in there is an option called State Transfer Request. It opens the Address Correction Form. The name makes it sound like something for people who have moved house, but it isn't.
The form is for farmers whom a state or district has marked Ineligible with the reason “Beneficiary does not belong to our State/District”. These farmers can use it to correct their address.
In PM Kisan, “address” doesn't mean where you live. It means where your farmland is. If you have moved to a city or another state but your land is still in the village, nothing needs to change in PM Kisan.
Who should fill in this form
- Your status says Ineligible, and the reason is that you don't belong to that state or district.
- The wrong state or district was chosen at registration, and your land is actually in another state or district.
If you were marked ineligible for some other reason (income tax, a government job, the land condition), this form won't help. In that case, file a complaint or go to the agriculture office.
How to correct the address
- On pmkisan.gov.in, click State Transfer Request under Farmers Corner.
- Choose Registration Number or Aadhaar Number and enter the number.
- Fill in the captcha, leave Consent Given ticked, and click Get OTP.
- After entering the OTP, fill in the correct state, district, tehsil and village of your farmland.
- Upload a land document in your own name (khatauni, khasra, jamabandi or your state's equivalent) and submit the form.
Points to note on the form
The notice at the bottom of the form says:
- Address here means the location of the beneficiary's cultivable land.
- The land document must be in your own name, and uploading it is compulsory.
- If a payment for any installment (kist) is under process, the address change will take time. It will happen only after that payment is made.
After you submit the form
- The new state or district checks your land papers.
- Once approved, your record moves to that state or district.
- Then check your land seeding, eKYC and Aadhaar–bank seeding, so the next installment isn't held up.
If your status still hasn't changed after a few weeks, speak to the agriculture office in the new district. You can find the district officer's number the way it is shown on the complaints page.
Common questions
I have moved to another state for work. Do I need a transfer?
No. PM Kisan goes by where your land is, not where you live. If the land is where it was, nothing needs to change.
I have bought new land in another state. What should I do?
The government checks cases of land that came into someone's name after 01-02-2019 separately. So ask your agriculture office first whether you are eligible for the new land.
Can I change my mobile number or bank account with this form?
No. For the mobile number there is Update Mobile Number (see the steps here), and for the bank account see Aadhaar–bank seeding.
Is this a government website?
No. Kisan Kisht is my own website. Your records are with the government, and only the government can change them.
