PM Kisan complaints
In short
- Check your status first. The reason an installment is held up is usually written there.
- Complain online with the Helpdesk - Query Form, using your registration number and an OTP.
- The helpline is 155261 or 011-24300606.
- If nothing moves, go to your district nodal officer, then write on CPGRAMS (pgportal.gov.in).
Check this before you complain
Most of the time, the reason an installment (kist) is held up is written right there in your status, and fixing it doesn't need a complaint at all.
- If eKYC Status shows No, get your eKYC done.
- If Land Seeding shows No, get land seeding done.
- If Aadhaar Bank Account Seeding Status shows No, get Aadhaar–bank seeding done.
Complain when all three say Yes and the installment still hasn't come, when the reason given for rejection doesn't make sense, or when your details look wrong.
When you need help, go step by step in this order:
- Check your statusThe reason is usually written there.
- Online complaint or helplineThe Helpdesk - Query Form, or a call to 155261.
- District nodal officerVisit the block or district agriculture office.
- CPGRAMSIf there is still no reply after a long time, write on pgportal.gov.in.
How to file a complaint online
pmkisan.gov.in has its own complaint form, called the Helpdesk - Query Form.
- Open pmkisan.gov.in and click Helpdesk - Query Form under Farmers Corner.
- Leave Raise Grievance selected.
- Enter your registration number in Temporary / Registration Number.
- Fill in the captcha and click Get OTP. Enter the OTP sent to the mobile number you gave PM Kisan.
- Choose your problem, describe it briefly and clearly, and submit.
- You will get a complaint number. Write it down and keep it safe.
If you registered recently or your application hasn't been approved yet, enter your Temporary ID instead of the registration number. The form says so at the bottom too. If you don't know your registration number, there is a Know Your Registration Number button at the top of the form.
What to write in your complaint
A clear complaint gets sorted out sooner. Make sure you mention:
- Which installment hasn't come (for example, the 24th).
- What your status says next to that installment (for example, Payment Failed or Rejected).
- Whether all three items under Eligibility Status say Yes.
- What you have already done (for example, “eKYC done at a CSC on 10 October”).
A long story or an angry tone won't get it solved any faster. Put the real problem in a line or two.
How to check your complaint status
On the same Helpdesk - Query Form, choose Check Status and enter your registration number, the captcha and the OTP. You will see the reply to your complaint there. Complaints go to an officer in your district or state, so a reply can take a few days.
Talk to someone on the phone
- The PM Kisan helpline is 155261 or 011-24300606.
- Keep your registration number, Aadhaar and bank passbook with you before you call.
Talk to your district or state officer
PM Kisan has a nodal officer for every state and district. You can find their name and phone number on pmkisan.gov.in.
- Open Search your Point of Contact (POC) under Farmers Corner.
- Choose Search State Nodal for the state officer, or Search district Nodal for the district one.
- Select your state and click Search.
Most cases are settled at the district or block agriculture office, because it is the state government that corrects your record. Speaking to the district nodal officer is often the quickest way.
Other places to complain
- Kisan eMitra is the government's chatbot on pmkisan.gov.in and in the PM Kisan app. It answers common questions straight away.
- You can also email pmkisan-ict@gov.in or pmkisan-funds@gov.in. Give your registration number and state the problem clearly.
- CPGRAMS (pgportal.gov.in) is the central government's grievance portal. Write there if your PM Kisan complaint has gone unanswered for a long time.
- Go in person to the block or district agriculture office with your papers. For land seeding, name correction and rejected applications, this is what helps most.

Common questions
How long does it take to get a reply?
There is no fixed time. It can take anything from a few days to a few weeks. Keep checking with Check Status now and then.
Do I have to pay to complain?
No. The online complaint, the helpline and email are all free.
What if someone asks for money to “file the complaint for me”?
Don't pay, and don't share your OTP with anyone. You can file the complaint yourself for free.
Is this a government website?
No. Kisan Kisht is my own website. Your records are with the government, and only the government can change them.
